2020 elections

Both Vice President Joseph Biden, and Senator Kamala Harris, both became the 46th President of the United States of America and Vice President respectively. Vice President Elect Harris has broken ground in that she is the first woman, the first black woman, the first Asian woman, the first biracial woman to hold the office of the Vice President.

In an earlier news conference today, President Elect Biden has shared that he intends to put together a ‘Corona Virus Team’ this Monday. Both he and Vice President Elect Harris have stated that they are looking for ways to help everyone regardless of political affiliation. Biden had stated, ““The presidency itself is not a partisan institution. It’s the one office in this nation that represents everyone and it demands a duty of care for all Americans,” he added. “And that is precisely what I will do. … I will work as hard for those who didn’t vote for me as I will for those who did vote for me.” (Source: Biden speaking in Delaware on 11/8/20)

With the announcement that in 75 days from now, a new era will begin with hope and possibilities. And with that, changes and challenges are to follow. Here’s hoping to community and inclusion.
